Reiki Code of Ethics for Humans
I observe the Reiki Principles in my practice and in my
daily life.
The Reiki Principles are:
Just For Today, Do Not Worry
Just For Today, Do Not Anger
Honor Your Parents, Teachers and Elders
Earn Your Living Honestly
Show Gratitude for Everything |
I
recognize and honor that people who practice and receive
Reiki come from many different cultural and religious
backgrounds. Reiki is not a religion or a belief system
and does not in anyway interfere with the personal
beliefs of others.
I
abide by a vow of confidentiality. Any information that
is discussed within the context of a Reiki session or in
follow-up emails, is confidential between myself and the
client.
I always treat clients with the utmost respect and
honor.
I have the clear intention to offer my services for the
highest healing good of each client.
A brief written description of how to prepare for a
session and what you may experience during a session is
provided on my website. I will answer any additional
questions you may have to the best of my ability through
private emails prior to scheduled sessions.
I strive to be respectful of all others’ Reiki views and
paths.
I educate clients on the value of Reiki and explain that
sessions do not guarantee a cure. Neither are they a
substitute for qualified medical or professional care.
Reiki is one part of an integrative healing or wellness
program.
I will suggest a consultation to qualified licensed
professionals (medical doctor, licensed therapist, etc.)
when appropriate.
I will never diagnose or prescribe. Nor will I ever
suggest that the client change prescribed treatment or
interfere with the treatment of a licensed health care
provider.
I am open and sensitive to the unique needs of each
individual client without judgment.
I continue to be actively working on my own healing so
as to embody and fully express the essence of Reiki in
everything that I do.
